About Daniel

Dan is the Owner & President of Roots Landscape Inc. A 1995 Graduate of Penn State’s Landscape Contracting program, Dan is experienced in all facets of the Landscape Design-Build business. As a lead commercial Landscape Designer for the Brickman Group, Dan designed, implemented, and maintained the landscapes of many large corporate and commercial business sites throughout the Delaware Valley. After five years at Brickman, Dan had the opportunity to become a partner in a large suburban Philadelphia based design-build firm. Among his many projects, Dan helped design and oversee the landscape & hardscape Installation of the Urban Outfitters Corporate Headquarters at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. A unique combination of reclaimed commercial building materials and new plant & tree installation, this project showcases Dan’s ability to successfully implement large-scale design-build projects, with a focus on quality, budget, and timing.

In 2011, Dan was selected to become the Director of Landscape Services for Terrain/ Urban Outfitters in Philadelphia. Until 2016, Dan and his team of landscape architects, planners, forepersons, and labor staff, grew the Terrain Landscape Division to become one of the leading design-build firms in the Philadelphia region. In 2016 Dan acquired the Terrain Landscape Division from Urban Outfitters, and continued with the same staff & clients under the new name - Roots Landscape, Inc. Given his impeccable design aesthetic and personable approach to sales, Dan has created a strong following in the Philadelphia area.

Dan resides with his wife & three children in Bucks County. Dan’s goal as President of Roots is to sustain and grow the strong client, vendor, and employee relationships forged over 25 years of hard work, honesty, and dedication to the landscape design-build craft in Philadelphia & the surrounding suburbs.
