Berwyn Residence
This Main Line home went through a major home renovation project. The client turned the original tract home into this classic symmetrical home with all the necessary amentities one would want. Seeing the the formal home, the client loved the idea of informal garden next to a very formal home.
About the project
Roots added swaths of color, texture, and interest for all seasons. Using alot of natives, grasses, and colorful perennials, our landscape designer laid out ever perennial, shrub and tree. The interior courtyard flanks the main entrance and calms the eye as you walk through the garden.
The Before...
With no landscape to really be seen at this home, Roots was tasked with sprucing up he beds with the goal to create a pollinator garden that had seasonal interest throughout the year.
Our Solution
Using the already expansive planting beds, Roots added native perennial gardens with an evergreen backdrop to create four season interest for the client. Both the curb appeal and the rear property are a perfect example of mixing formality and informality at any home.

The addition of large beds, native plant material both for birds and pollinators and large evergreen shrubs add to the beautiful juxtaposition of this classic home versus the whimsy of it's gardens.
