Landscape Designer/Marketing Director
Originally from Southern New Jersey, Nathan has over 17 years of experience in the landscape architecture and design/build industry. A graduate of Rutgers University’s Landscape Architecture Program and Historic Preservation program, Nathan has been working in the Greater Philadelphia and Greater New York areas since graduation. As an intern for WellsAppel, Taylor Wiseman & Taylor and the Historic Society of Princeton, Nathan honed his skills in the landscape design/build industry early on. Settling in Philadelphia, Nathan has a keen eye for scale, space and preservation.
After college, he continued full time with Taylor Wiseman and Taylor, Gasper Landscape and finally Landscape by Terrain (an URBN division) which has since evolved into Roots Landscape, Inc.
His 8-year tenure with Roots has produced projects that have been featured in Martha Stewart Living, Gardenista, Home & Garden, Main Line Today and House Beautiful Magazines. Nathan’s innate sensibility to design spaces that appear effortless, while understanding the intricacies of construction and scheduling, has been an asset to Roots’ growth and a formidable force in the landscape industry. His ability to meet each client’s specific needs allows Roots to have a diverse portfolio of projects and repeat customers. From city courtyards to large estates, Nathan has created places and spaces that are just as unique as their client. Nathan also spearheads all marketing campaigns, social media and charitable events ensuring Roots continues to stay involved in the community. When not at work, Nathan loves traveling to places like France, Sonoma and Puerto Rico. He and his partner are the dog dads of an English Bull Terrier names Sophie.
