Since 2016, Roots Landscape Inc. has been transforming outdoor spaces across Philadelphia, The Main Line, and Bucks County into personal sanctuaries. Our story began with a simple idea: that landscapes should be more than just an extension of a home—they should embody the heart and soul of the property.

Roots Landscape was born from the vision of Dan Burt, who led the Terrain Landscape Services team for many years. Under Dan’s guidance, Terrain became renowned for its exceptional outdoor living designs. In 2016, when presented with the opportunity to take the craft even further, Dan founded Roots as its own entity. Not only did Roots continue as Terrain’s official preferred landscape design and build firm, but it also expanded its services across the region, offering tailored designs for high-end residential and commercial properties.

Since then, Roots Landscape has flourished, bringing the same commitment to quality, sustainability, and design excellence that Dan cultivated at Terrain. With a focus on transforming outdoor spaces into personalized sanctuaries, Roots has become one of the most sought-after landscape design firms in Philadelphia, The Main Line, and Bucks County.
